Last weekend, June 16th, I took part in the qualification for the Longtrack World Championship 2025 in Mühldorf am Inn as one of 4 nominated German riders. There were 20 riders competing, of which the first 5 qualified for the Longtrack World Championship 2025.

Against some of the best riders in the world, we knew that this would be a challenging event, but we were very happy to take it on.

The first 3 heats went very well and I finished 2nd in each of them, even overtaking the 3rd place finisher from the 2023 World Championship. In my 4th heat, I finished 3rd behind last year’s runner-up. My last heat didn’t go so well due to getting hit with a lot of dirt along the back straight, as my goggles got dirty and jammed. This resulted with not being able to see anything, so I took my goggles off and rode 3 laps without them to score a point, which later turned out to be crucial.

Following these 5 heats, the 10 best riders progressed to the semi-finals of which 4 other riders plus myself were tied on 12 points, with the rider in 5th place having 13 points. It should be noted here that the top 5 scorers after the semi-finals move on to the final and thus all qualifying for the 2025 World Championship. In my semi-final, I came 5th from the start, but overtook 2 riders on the first lap and then finished the race in third place. This was enough (due to the 1 point in my last preliminary heat ) for 5th place in the daily classification, entry into the final and thus the 2025 World Championship. I finished the final heat in 5th place, which was only relevant for the daily classification.

We are delighted to have already qualified for the World Championships in my 3rd year on the longtrack and would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support so far, as this success would not have been possible without it! We hope for many more successful years of partnership and are confident that we will be able to celebrate a few more successes in the World Championships!

On June 22nd, I’m going on vacation for a week. Upon my return we want to gain as much experience before 2025 in order to be as well prepared as possible for the new challenge.

Thank you again for your support and I look forward to the rest of the season with you.
