I’d recently purchased my Helite Turtle 2 and once we were allowed on our bikes after lockdown I got to wear it for the first time. It was a warm day and I was wearing a summer jacket. I found the air vest to be light and didn’t restrict the air flow through my vents. Little did I know the first day I wore it would be the day I got to test the vest to. 

I was 5 miles from home riding through a village. There was a white van in front of me who stopped and before I could move out of the way he reversed back at some speed. I of course get knocked off the bike and land on the floor. After a brief moment once I collected myself I realise what had happened. However my air vest had deployed. It did a great job and stiffened up my torso protecting my back and neck. Once the vest was inflated I had very little movement to move my head which is exactly what you need in an accident. The inflation of the vest was instantaneous from being knocked off the bike and the deflation of the vest takes a fair few minutes to occur which was ideal. 

Its fair to say I owe alot to my helite vest had I not been wearing it things could of been a lot worse.
