Following a serious road traffic collision where I was knocked off my motorbike by a van driver, the hospital consultant was puzzled by my injuries. Despite suffering a brain bleed, my pelvis and spine were uninjured, and I had no broken bones. I informed her that I was wearing good protective gear, including a Helite Turtle 2 airvest. She looked confused. When I explained how my Helite airvest works, she was totally amazed and said “That explains a lot, and if you know anyone who rides a motorbike, make sure they buy one of those vests.” Before I get on a motorbike again, I will be wearing a Helite airvest.
